Exclusive: Anisha Motwani Quits Max Life Insurance, Turns Consultant



Anisha Motwani has stepped down as the Chief Marketing and Digital Officer of Max Life Insurance. She has now turned as an independent marketing and digital consultant to the Max Group of Companies Motwani has confirmed the news to AdAge India.

It has been three months since Motwani moved out of the CMO's role and started as an independent consultant with organization. She is consulting for Max Life Insurance, Max Healthcare, Max Bupa, Max Corporate and other Max India companies.

Motwani has 28 years of experience in the advertising, auto-manufacturing, financial and health services. She is a business strategist, speaker, columnist and making active contributions to leading corporate and industry boards.

She started her career with advertising in 1989 and had a 17 year stint with leading advertising agencies like McCann Erickson, DDB Mudra and Leo Burnett. Motwani was the architect of several known consumer brands and developed effective campaigns for leading brands including Coca-Cola, Dabur, Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Bharti Cellular, Pepsi Snack Foods and Hewlett Packard amongst others.

In 2005, she joined General Motors as Director, Marketing. During this time, she launched Chevrolet and several other cars in the country. She moved to Max Life Insurance in 2007 and spent nearly 8 years in the organization.

At Max, she contributed significantly in developing Max Life into a non bank promoted Life Insurance Company; leading the marketing function of brand building, corporate communications, consumer research and analytics; e-Commerce and digital transformation; and worked intensively on customer experience.

During her career, she has won several awards such as 'Women At Work Leadership Award', '50 Most Powerful Women in Indian Business' and 'Inspirational Women Leader'.
